Our youngest patients require special attention. It is recommended to make a first appointment with a pediatric dentist after the appearance of first baby teeth.
The dentist will give advice on food, nursing frequency, teach parents when to brush children’s teeth, how to do it properly and evaluate the risks of cavity. Later on, it is necessary to have follow-ups once a year to create a habit and maintain healthy teeth condition until all baby teeth have grown out.
In that way children will not be afraid of dentists and the greatest benefit is that they will not have cavities and will develop a relationship full of trust with their dentist.
This is particularly important for all children and their future attitude towards visiting a chosen dentist. We recommend that parents bring their children after their baby teeth have grown out because then they will get all information about how to brush their children’s teeth and we will do the individual evaluation of cavity risk. All of this is much less traumatic for children than when they come in pain.
It is our practice to do the first examination free of charge. We will then establish all possible issues that children might have, and their parents will get information about proper tooth care.
Regular check-ups help to notice and correct irregular tooth and jaw position. In that case the dentist can refer the parents to orthodontist on time and correct the irregularities at the earliest age possible.
Our doctors will make sure they fix every child’s tooth painlessly and if necessary, seal fissures, remove soft deposits and do tooth fluoridation.
